I spent years working in the roofing industry selling roofs for larger companies. During that time, I realized that while many companies advertised quality, the customer experience often wasn’t what it should have been. Communication was inconsistent, customers were handed from salesperson to production manager to project manager, and in many cases the roofing systems being installed were nearly identical across the industry. The biggest difference usually wasn’t the roof itself, it was the level of care and accountability, and too often that was missing.

That experience inspired me to start Steve’s Modern Roofing. My goal wasn’t to build the biggest roofing company in New Hampshire. It was to build one that I could genuinely be proud of.

I wanted to combine the most advanced roofing products, installation methods, and technology available today with the old-fashioned customer service that’s becoming harder and harder to find. When someone hires Steve’s Modern Roofing, they’re working directly with me from beginning to end. I’m the one who meets with the customer, performs the inspection, prepares the proposal, answers every question, orders the materials, oversees the installation, documents the project with drone photography, registers the manufacturer warranty, performs the final walkthrough, and personally collects final payment after ensuring everything has been completed correctly.

That may not be the fastest way to scale a multimillion-dollar roofing company, but I believe it’s the absolute best experience for the homeowner. It’s exactly how I would want my own roof replaced, and it’s exactly what I would expect for anyone in my family.

My goal has always been simple: deliver exceptional craftsmanship, honest communication, complete transparency, and an experience that leaves every homeowner feeling confident they chose the right contractor.
